Understanding the Clarion Call behind  Omolade Women Empowerment Foundation (OWEF)

The following write-up is a summary of the background thoughts that have led to the establishment of the Omolade Women Empowerment Foundation (OWEFI).

Marriage is an age-old institution established by God, and ideally, it serves as the foundation for family life. A near-perfect marriage produces a family that is worthy of emulation and honors God. In fact, the quality of any society is largely determined by the health, stability, understanding, attitude, spirituality, and emotional well-being of the families that make it up.

However, due to various factors, many marriages today are far from ideal. It has become alarmingly common for once-happy couples to separate or even opt for divorce. Unfortunately, when this happens, the children often bear the brunt of the consequences.

The Omolade Women Empowerment Foundation was established to offer a helping hand to women who are suffering from the devastating aftermath of separation or divorce. Our goal is to bring laughter and hope back into their lives and, where possible, intervene in their fractured marriages with a view to restoring them for a lifetime of happiness.

Mrs Elizeberth Bakare  (Founder /Ceo of OWEF)

I am deeply passionate about this cause because I, too, have been a victim of a broken marriage. The pain and sadness that come with marital breakdown are immeasurable. While I was fortunate enough to overcome the challenges, I can authoritatively say that financial empowerment plays a significant role in overcoming such difficulties.

In addition, it is equally important to guide and mentor young women who are looking forward to marriage. They need to be properly informed so that they can make the right choices when selecting a marriage partner. Therefore, this initiative is not only focused on helping women affected by failed marriages but also on providing mentorship to young women to ensure they make the best possible choices when considering the institution of marriage.

  • OWEFI aims to create a supportive and empowering platform for women affected by divorce, separation, and domestic violence. It seeks to help them overcome challenges and regain stability, while also guiding young women to make informed choices when selecting marriage partners, ensuring long-lasting happiness in their marriages.
  • The foundation’s mission is to empower women to actively contribute to their families’ success, promoting the overall well-being and stability of society.
